Mid Towne Village is an urban redevelopment project located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids' rapidly growing “Medical Mile.” This mixed- use project, designed as a walkable, campus-like community, includes a 15,000 square foot park and over 200,000 square feet of building space. Mid Towne Village consists of over 100,000 square feet of medical office space, 60,000 square feet of professional office and retail and 40,000 square feet of Chicago-style Brownstone condominiums.

Construction began on Building D, a mixed-use building, in 2006 and is scheduled for completion in May, 2007. The Women's Health Center of West Michigan went under construction in 2006 and is expected to be occupied in 2008.

Special efforts in this project involved working with the City of Grand Rapids Planning Department to secure city approval to redevelop this blighted neighborhood. This involved acquiring 48 residences and working with the neighborhood association and concerned neighbors. This project was the first project in Grand Rapids and one of only two in the state to earn Brownfield tax credits based on blighted conditions.

This project was awarded the Commercial Alliance of Realtors “Project of the Year” award for 2004. To visit our news section on Mid Towne Village, click here.

Grand River Offices

The Grand River Offices are located in Plainfield Township, adjacent to the Community Center. There are three buildings planned which total 25,000 square feet and span a four acre lot. Construction began on Building 1 in 2005 and was completed in August, 2006. Construction on Building 2 will begin in 2007, with Building 3 to follow.

Old North Boundary

The Old North Boundary project is a completed redevelopment project that transformed the old abandoned Grand Rapids Plating Company factory into a 40,000 square feet office and retail development space. This project earned a first place 2004 Neighborhood Business Award for “Best Reuse of a Building.”

Hart & Cooley, Inc.

Third Coast Development Partners constructed a new 60,000 square foot Headquarters and Research & Development facility for Hart & Cooley in Grand Rapids, Michigan's Cascade Township. Construction on the headquarters began in June, 2006 and was completed ahead of schedule in early December, 2006.
